The Haunting Tale of Grace Redland: Part the Third

The first thing Grace noticed about the place was the old world feel of the place.  The bar was made of hardwood and timber.  Victortian style decorations were placed around the establishment.  A stage stood opposite the bar, small tables and chairs were placed between them in a random pattern.
“You own this place?” She asked him as he took off his hat and hanged it from a peg on the wall.
“Actually I’m the owner of the building.  The manager of this place is the owner of the bar, but I get to use it whenever I want. You know, landlord’s privilege.” He said as he pour two glasses of water.
“What’s your name by the way? I can’t keep calling you mad scream-o lady can I?” He asked her as she sat down at a chair.
“Um, Grace. I’m Grace and you are?” She asked him as he brought the water over.
“Jae McCall, nice to meet you Grace.” He responded as he sat down on a chair in front of her.
She took the glass in her hand.

The Haunting Tale of Grace Redland: Part the Second

“You can hear me?” Grace said as she looked at the young man.  The young man had ashy brown hair and chocolate brown eyes.  He wore a pair of decent shoes, a pair of blue jeans, a white tee under a blue plaid shirt.  Over this he wore a navy-blue sports-coat and a black fedora.
“I wouldn’t be talking to you otherwise.” He responded as he looked at her. From his view he could see that she was rather beautiful yet deeply sad at the same time, “Are you ok?” He asked her.
“No.” She answered as tears and sobs came flowing down her cheeks.
“Hey, it can’t be all that bad now, can it?” He asked her as he stepped closer to her.
She tried to put her hand on his shoulder but it just passed right through him as a puff of smoke.  He just stood there looking at her and his shoulder.
“What the hell are you?” He asked as he started to back away.
“I don’t know!”  She said before she completely disappeared from his sight.
‘The hell was that about?’ He thought as he made his way down the sidewalk without thinking much of the strange woman he had just met.
As he made his way across a dark street at night, he saw a wisp of smoke down an alley. He went down the street thinking nothing of it.  Images of the sad and scared woman flashed in his mind.
He made his way down another street.  From an alley came the same woman, now wearing a long-sleeved blue dress.
“Please, I’m alone, I’m scared, and I don’t know what to do.  You’re the only one who can hear me.  Please help me…” She said to him with a pleading look as he jumped back with a shock.
“Holy shit lady! What are you stalking me?! I wish I could help you but I don’t know how!” He told her as the wind started to pick up.
The lights flickered as she kept crying.  “Please help me… I’m so scared…” She said as the winds began to howl around them.
“Look whatever you’re doing please stop it.  It’s not helping anyone!” He said to her as the lights returned to normal and the wind died down.
“I have an idea, why don’t you come to my bar next door and we can talk.” He said to her as she calmed down and followed him into a place with brown siding and a big old-style front door.

The Haunting Tale of Grace Redland: Part the First

Grace Redland was dead, yet still she walked the streets.  Her raven-hair was styled in an unmoving and unchanging straightened pony-tail.  He patent leather heels would forever be on her expertly made-up feet.  Her heart shaped pendant would forever dangle on a golden necklace.  Her golden loop earrings would eternally dangle from her pierced ears.  A brilliant diamond and gold ring would be placed on her left ring finger forevermore.  Her made-up beautiful face would remain forever in perfect place.  Her multi-gem bracelet will never fall off her wrist.  Her navy blue cocktail dress would hug her perfect curves forever.
In front of her there was a body that looked strangely like her. However it had a big bloody gash running across the neck.  Blood flowed from the gash and soaked the dress on the body.  Grace tried to reach down to a purse strewn near the body. Her hand seemed to go right through the purse in a wispy puff of smoke that became her hand once she was free of the purse.
Around her there were policemen, police cars, and an ambulance as the officers examined the body.
“Hello?!  Can you help me?! I’m not sure what’s happened?”  She asked to no one in particular.  The questions fell on deaf ears as they hustled and bustled about their jobs.  She looked around and tried desperately to grab onto someone, something.
Along with her tries and failures there were tears, sobs, and laments.  “Why me? Why now? Why?! I was gonna get married in a few weeks…  I’m here! I’m alive! I’m…I’m…I’m..I’m d-d-d-dead.”  With that final statement she sunk to the ground and began sobbing hysterically. Sobs that would be unheard by anyone ever again.
Sometime later she picked herself off the ground and walked down the sidewalk she was making for before. Her heels clicked and clacked on the concrete sidewalks only to her.  Her footsteps can still be heard on a quiet night.  Feeling lost and confused, she just leaned on a pole and watched the seemingly empty streets before her as the odd drunk coming out of a bar walked past her without so much as a single glance in her direction.
“Can anybody effing hear me?!?!?!” She yelled out in a roar.
“Blow my ear off won’t you?” A young man said as he walked by.

Shorts of a Time Lord: Fifth Doctor

On an ancient cobbled street crowds were gathered around a big elaborately ornate fountain that was adorned with aquatic mythological motifs.  The immense crowds were looking at it with admiration and awe. Tiny flashes from small cameras went off every now and then without stopping.  The people in the crowd were dressed as differently as they could be, however one of them was slightly different than the rest.
This young man had medium length sandy blonde hair and piercing brown eyes which were hidden behind golden wireframe spectacles.  He wore a pair of white tennis shoe-like shoes, an open-necked buttoned up shirt with orange linings and orange question marks embroidered on the lapels; which was tucked into red, golden-yellow, and white stripped trousers. Over the shirt he wore a knitted sweater with a red and blue pattern on the top of it. On top of all this he wore a cream colored frock-coat with orange piping.  To complete the look he had a stick of celery attached to the left lapel of the coat.
He stood there and admired everything in front of him with a sigh of relief. After a few minutes he took of his spectacles and stored them in one of his pockets and from an inner coat pocket he withdrew a bundle that opened up to be a white hat with an orange speckled band and placed it upon his head.  He headed up the road to meet two very different people. One was a smartly dressed ginger-haired young man and the other a young woman with brown hair wearing a short skirted multi-colored dress. He approached them and greeted them.
“Doctor, this place is wonderful.  Rome is so peaceful compared to Gallifrey.” The young woman said in a distinct Australian accent. The Doctor said, “Indeed it is Tegan.  Now what do you say we go get some late afternoon coffee?” He asked as he approached small cafĂ©.
Coffee please.”  The Doctor said in perfect Italian to a hostess as he and his two companions sat at an outdoor table to watch the crowd of people walking by. After drinking their coffees and settling the bill, the Doctor and his friends made their way out into the streets talking very excitedly amongst them. With the Doctor serving as a tour guide of sorts, and being in a very merry and happy mood as they made their way through the very heart of Rome.
